About the course

The video lectures are designed and developed by COP Education and delivered by Amdoor Srinivas, who brings over 16 years of teaching experience in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Each lecture is carefully crafted with a strong emphasis on conceptual clarity, scientific accuracy, and structured learning. Every topic is explained in a simple, step-by-step manner, enabling students with different learning abilities to understand concepts at their own pace. The lectures integrate practical applications, solved examples, examination-oriented problem-solving techniques, and industry-relevant insights to help students build a strong conceptual foundation, excel in semester examinations, and confidently prepare for competitive examinations such as APECET and TGECET.

COURSE OUTCOMES

Upon successful completion of Basic Electronics, students will be able to:

  1. Develop a strong understanding of passive electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and inductors, and their applications in electronic circuits.
  2. Analyze and solve basic electrical circuits using fundamental electrical principles.
  3. Understand the fundamentals of alternating current (AC), including AC waveforms and circuit behavior.
  4. Use basic electronic measuring instruments to perform electrical and electronic measurements accurately.
  5. Explain the construction, working principles, characteristics, and applications of diodes, Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJTs), and rectifier circuits.
  6. Understand the construction, operation, characteristics, and applications of Field Effect Transistors (FETs) and Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors (MOSFETs).
  7. Prepare confidently for semester examinations through concept-oriented learning, solved examples, circuit analysis, and examination-focused discussions aligned with the prescribed syllabus.
  8. Strengthen competitive examination preparation using additional practice questions, previous-year question papers, and value-added resources designed for AP ECET, TG ECET, and other engineering entrance examinations.
