About the course

The video lectures are designed and developed by COP Education and delivered by Amdoor Srinivas, who brings over 16 years of teaching experience in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Each lecture is carefully crafted with a strong emphasis on conceptual clarity, scientific accuracy, and structured learning. Every topic is explained in a simple, step-by-step manner, enabling students with different learning abilities to understand concepts at their own pace. The lectures integrate practical applications, solved examples, examination-oriented problem-solving techniques, and industry-relevant insights to help students build a strong conceptual foundation, excel in semester examinations, and confidently prepare for competitive examinations such as APECET and TGECET.

COURSE OUTCOMES

Upon successful completion of Basic Electronics, students will be able to:

  1. Understand the construction, working principles, characteristics, and applications of passive electronic components, switches, connectors, relays, and printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  2. Explain the concepts of energy band theory, intrinsic and extrinsic semiconductors, PN junction diodes, Zener diodes, and Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJTs), including their characteristics and configurations.
  3. Analyse the behaviour and response of RL, RC, and RLC circuits and apply circuit analysis techniques to solve engineering problems.
  4. Understand the working principles, characteristics, and applications of microphones and loudspeakers used in audio systems.
  5. Explain the construction, working principles, and applications of electronic measuring and test instruments used in laboratories and industrial environments.
  6. Prepare confidently for semester examinations through concept-oriented learning, solved examples, and examination-focused problem-solving aligned with the prescribed syllabus.
  7. Strengthen competitive examination preparation using additional practice questions, previous-year question papers, and value-added resources designed for AP ECET, TG ECET, and other engineering entrance examinations.
