About the course

ABOUT THE COURSE

The video lectures are designed and developed by COP Education and delivered by Shiva Rama Krishna (M.Sc. Physics, CSIR All India Rank 59), who brings over 8 years of teaching experience in Engineering Physics. Each lecture is carefully designed with a strong emphasis on conceptual clarity, scientific accuracy, and structured learning. Every concept is explained in a simple, step-by-step manner, making even complex physical principles easy to understand for learners of all proficiency levels. The lectures seamlessly connect fundamental physics with real-world engineering applications through visual demonstrations, numerical problem-solving, and practical examples. Examination-oriented discussions, concept-based explanations, and application-focused teaching help students build a strong foundation in Engineering Physics, excel in semester examinations, and confidently prepare for competitive examinations such as APECET and TGECET.

COURSE OUTCOMES

Upon successful completion of Engineering Physics, students will be able to:

  1. Develop a strong understanding of units, dimensions, measurement errors, and vector principles, and apply them to solve engineering problems related to force, work, power, and torque.
  2. Analyze the physical behaviour of bodies and solve numerical problems involving projectile motion, motion on rough surfaces, elasticity, capillarity, and the flow of liquids and gases in engineering applications.
  3. Understand the principles of renewable energy sources, thermal expansion, and the laws of thermodynamics, and apply them to engineering and sustainable development.
  4. Explain the concepts of Simple Harmonic Motion (SHM), determine the time period of a simple pendulum, and understand the principles of acoustics and noise control in engineering and environmental applications.
  5. Apply the principles of electricity and magnetism to analyze electric circuits, transformers, and related engineering applications.
  6. Understand the principles of the photoelectric effect, LASERs, semiconductors, photocells, Ruby LASERs, and LEDs, and recognize their applications in modern engineering and technology.
  7. Prepare confidently for semester examinations through concept-oriented learning, solved numerical problems, and examination-focused discussions aligned with the prescribed syllabus.
  8. Strengthen competitive examination preparation using additional practice questions, previous-year question papers, and value-added resources designed for AP ECET, TG ECET, and other engineering entrance examinations.
